The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) invites applications to fill vacant positions on a regular basis, with an initial probationary period of six months. We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of conducting high-quality research and analysis on strategic issues. The available positions include a Research Fellow specializing in Security Studies and a Communications Officer. The Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on security-related matters, preparing analytical reports, and contributing to seminars and conferences. Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s degree in International Relations or a related field, along with proven research experience and strong analytical skills. The Communications Officer will oversee the institute’s communication strategies, manage digital platforms, coordinate media relations, and assist in event organization. Applicants for this role should hold a degree in Communications or a relevant field, with previous experience in communications or public relations preferred. Qualification/Age and Experience/Publications
Masters or equivalent/16 year of education in IR, Pol. Sc, DSS, Peace & Conflict Studies, Defence & Diplomatic Studies or any comparable discipline with particular focus on Arms Control and Disarmaments will be preferred. Age should not be over 35 years including five years General Age Relaxation.
Experience/Publications; Minimum 02 years Research experience at a reputable University/Institution and two research Publications/Papers published in HEC recognized Journals.
Driver (BPS-5)

SSC (Matric) LTV/HTV License
Experience 10 year as Staff Car Driver
(preference VIP duties/Arms Forces personnel)
Age limit 35-50 year including 5 year Age Relaxation) Medically fit
