HEC Aptitude Test (HAT) – Online Registration 2023
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) via Education Testing Council (ETC) will conduct Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for eligibility of all HEC scholarships and admission in MS/M-Phil and PhD programmes through a uniform accessible, and transparent selection process.
The HAT test is being organised by HEC-ETC for those applicants: Who have already applied for MS/M. Phil admission OR HEC Scholarship via e-portal for further final selection process. Who want to apply for scholarship schemes offered by HEC in future including universities scholarship schemes in Pakistan.
Who can Apply for Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT)
The test is being organized for applicants who:
- Have already applied online for any MS/M-Phil & PhD admission or HEC scholarship (Hungary, etc.)
- Intend to apply for the scholarship schemes advertised in future including those by HEC sponsored Pakistani universities
- Are interested in securing admission in MS/M-Phil & PhD programmes in public and private universities of Pakistan
HAT Versions Based on Academic Streams
The test will be conducted in the following five categories based o 16 years / Equivalent Education and the students should register accordingly.

DATE OF EXAMINATION FOR HAT-TEST CONDUCT BY HEC
The HAT test will tentatively be held on in future. Any change in test date, due to unavoidable circumstances, shall be communicated to candidates through Check Online hec.gov.pk
